HOW TO BE A CHEERFUL GIVER

Image
Have you ever given with a good intention but still felt bad about giving? Your thoughts try to question your actions and you find yourself struggling with them. Yes! This sometimes happen, especially when you give the wrong way. Giving is an act and requires grace. There is an infallible method of giving that if followed properly, not only will you never regret giving but equally attain the benefits that follows the grace, I call them the appropriate steps of giving. There are three steps to beneficial unregretful giving; a proper implementation of these steps would give you warm feelings of joy as your giving would be cheerful. Cheerful giving is the best form of giving, and these steps can teach even the stingiest natured person to give cheerfully. STEP ONE: LEARN TO GIVE TO GOD One can understand why this could be a difficult step. Even back in bible times when God spoke to man directly, when there were no churches or temples, Cain still found it difficult to offer pr

DON'T LOSE YOURSELF TO THE SEARCH.

Image
She gave her car key to the youngest child in the car while she went to buy some stuff in the mall. Upon her return, the boy had misplaced the key and the whole family was stranded on the road. Observing her discomfort with innocent kids without a masculine shepherd, I joined the search party. For each passing minute without the key, she landed the boy that had the key with a slap or a concentrated curse! After few minutes, she strayed in frustration into a motorbike's way and was knocked down. It was in the process of helping her up and picking the pieces of her belongings that the car key was found. She had already lost herself before the key was found! Many people lose themselves in search of what is missing in their lives. Many lose their moral limb while searching for the "missing rib"! Some lose their health while searching for material wealth. I know those who lost their message while searching for relevance and sponsors. Some lose their marr

THREE MARVELOUS STORIES...

Image
Mother Teresa A story is told of Mother Teresa, the saint of the Calcutta slums. She went with a small child to a local baker and begged some bread for the hungry lad. The baker spat full in Mother Teresa's face. Undaunted, she calmly replied, "Thank you for that gift to me.   Do you have anything for the child?" Desmond Tutu When he was a young pastor in Johannesburg,  he was making his way along a wooden sidewalk, raised above the muddy street. He came to a narrow section of the sidewalk and was met by a white man coming from the other direction. The man said to Tutu: "Get off the sidewalk; I don't make way for gorillas." Tutu stepped aside, gestured broadly, and responded, "I do!" The third example I offer is by far the most powerful, at least if we measure power in terms of practical consequences.   Pope John Paul II On June 2, 1979, Pope John Paul II came to Victory Square in the heart of Warsaw and celebrate

8 THINGS TO CARRY LIKE A CRATE OF EGGS.

Image
Friends, there are things we must carry and handle with extra- carefulness, because these things are fragile. Once broken, it is not easy to put back together, and once some of these things get broken, they can lead to huge damage, and destiny wastage. Let me mention 8 of those things you must carry/handle with carefulness, as if you are carrying a crate of eggs.  1. Your Name: Your name is very important and fragile. There are names that stinks in the ears of people, simply because those who bear those names spoilt the name. The way to handle your name with carefulness, is to be careful of your doings. Your actions can rubbish your name. A good name can open doors for you, & for your children and generations after you. Carry your name with carefulness. It is a huge asset. Read one of the quotes written by Shakespeare: 'Who steals my purse steals trash; 'tis something, nothing; 'Twas mine, 'tis his, and has been slave to thousands;

WE NEED MORE MEN

Image
I'm not sure when men decided that 30 was the new 15. When men thought it was better to remain independent than making a commitment to another. When men were courageous in business and battle but afraid to be fathers. I'm not sure when video games and "guy night" became more important than tee-ball and date night. When 4-year-long relationships weren't long enough for a proposal. When staying out became cooler than showing up. I'm not sure when men became boys. Our culture has a boy problem. In Italy, they call it Peter Pan Syndrome. I call it immaturity and selfishness. Men so focused on their dreams, their visions, and their desires they find themselves wealthy, known, and alone. The adult world doesn't need more boys. We need Godly men who will grow up, know up, and show up. Who will fight for romance, commit quickly, and stay indefinitely. To turn their hearts toward children and work to raise them well. To be friends who grow friends. Not

Where to meet God

Image
A little boy wanted to meet God.  He knew it was a long trip to where God lived. So he packed his suitcase with a bag of potato chips and a six-pack of Soft Drink and started his journey. When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old man.  He was sitting in the park, just staring at some pigeons.   The boy sat down next to him and opened his suitcase.  He was about to take a drink from his Bottle when he noticed that the old man looked hungry, so he offered him some chips. He gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. His smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered him a soft drink.  Again, he smiled at him. The boy was delighted!  They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word... As twilight approached, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave; But before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old man, and gave him a hug. He gave him his biggest smile ever
