TYPES OF LOVE AND THEIR THOERIES.

Image
Love is a special and complicated emotion which is quite difficult to understand. Love actually occurs in the brain. Artists, poets and painters all epitomize the heart as the love symbol, but it’s the brain that generates chemical signals to make people understand love.  There are different forms and styles of expressing love. To describe these styles, the Ancient Greeks came up with four terms of love

TIPS TO HELP YOU AVOID DEFFICULTIES IN MARRIAGE.

Image
The real difficulties arise only when one or both partners have a sort of  psychological dependence on their parents, which prevents them from thinking and deciding independently. This tendency is frequent in men, as a consequence of the possessive love of their mothers. Though young partners should overcome the attitude of over-dependence on parents, they should also ensure that their mutual love and self - sufficiency do not deprive their parents of anything due to them. On the contrary, it should foster a new type of love which is deeper because it is more mature. The difficulties which a wife encounters especially with her mother in law are easily resolved if her husband is able to stand by her. Making it clear that he is giving priority to his marital commitment. (6) Should a couple ever have recourse to divorce? Answer:- Divorce is only the legal zeal of a failure which affects bitterly each one of the parents and their children. If difficulties ...

CONCLUSION ON COURTSHIP:   Questions and answer continues...... 4. I have been married for six years and when ever my husband gets angry, he always beats me and the kids. Few week ago our two years old son broke his radio mistakenly. When he came home from work, he beat the child and then beat me, then the child again I thought he was going to kill us both! I have never been unfaithful to him, but he is always afraid that I will be. He is always furious each time he sees me speaking to a man, even a relative. Many times, we disturb people's peace with our noise. He says he is not wrong to beat me, that am the one who is wrong to provoke him.. After he beat me, I always stay home for some days in order to hide my bruises.. I am a christian and I know you are going to tell me to be patient, but I'm so tired of being beaten. I don't know what to do. Answer:- No, you can't be patient.

COURTSHIP (PART TWO)

You should first read the part one on COURTSHIP Courtship is all about accepting your partner even though he/she has certain weakness. One's you are committed, you talk a lot more about each other, your plans for the future, your relatives, money, and lot more. For example:- discussing with each other about what school shall we choose for our children? Or name given when born? Should we ask our Cousin to stay with us? Should we buy a Car? When making decisions concerning yourselves, there maybe disagreement between the two of you. Don't allow the disagreement to stop your communication. Instead continue discussing the subject until an agreement is made. Jude and Jane early in their marriage, had a quarrel about his mother, and they made the mistake of stopping

ANGER IN RELATIONSHIP 3

Image
Have you read the earlier parts of this writing, see links now.   ANGER IN RELATIONSHIPS.  ANGER IN RELATIONSHIPS 2 Since anger can be the mortal enemy of love, it is important to develop the skills for both regulating and expressing it. Though they overlap, you need to focus both on your thinking and action skills for managing anger.  In a loving relationship the best way to handle unnecessary anger is to prevent it. Your use of thinking skills may help you avoid " laying your trips" on your partner. Furthermore,

ANGER IN RELATIONSHIPS (PART 2)

Image
Have you read the part 1 OF ANGER IN RELATIONSHIPS. Click to read it now. .....Anger of course, can be a perfectly normal and acceptable emotion. spouses can and should be angry at each other when there are legitimate reasons. However, a little bit of anger goes a long way in a marriage and most couples don't have a good sense for balance in  this regard. The tendencies are  to over season rather than under season the relationship with anger's special spice to the point that the relationship becomes unpalatable and lacks nourishment. Expressing constructive anger is an act, an act that most couples have to learn. It is a marriage counselor's dream to teach couples to process anger effectively, to put each issue of anger to rest once and for all, and to free their relationship of the corroding effects of unresolved anger. Developing such skills is possible. Here is Laraba and Musa's story - "our marriage was troubled for many y...

ANGER IN RELATIONSHIPS

Image
ANGER What is Anger? Anger:- A strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure or hostility. A wide range of intensity from mild irritation to frustration and rage. Anyone can be angry, that's easy. To be angry with the right person to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose and in the right way is not easy. Although those words sound as though they might have  been written by a modern day psychotherapist, they weren't. They were, in fact written by 'ARISTOTLE' more than two thousand years ago. The antiquity of the phrase, however, does not diminish its powerful truth. Anger is the most difficult emotion for any of us to manage. It tends to take over our lives, push us around and leads us to say and do things that under normal circumstances we probably would find repugnant, even unthinkable. Anger has a special power in marriage / courtship / relationship and friendship. Its impact is largely negative and often destructive. Having observed...
