So I really enjoyed the sermon from Church yesterday and I think its worth sharing. it talked about what happens to one when he is disconnected from God and how the devil works today. I am going to try and keep this version short and straight to the point, lets use the story of THE PRODIGAL SON as a case study for the subject. LUKE 15: 11-32.

If you did not know that story or its been long, you can re-read it. 

According to the sermon, three thing can happen when one are dis-connected from God: 
1. Life becomes full of difficulties. 
After the son was given his share and he left his father, he lost everything and life became really hard for him. so bad that in comparison with his father's servants. he acknowledged that he was lesser. This is a reality, things that were suppose to be so simple and enjoyable gradually become difficult.

2. There is no real joy in life.
God is the source of happiness and when disconnected, even if things are going well. sadness grows from the inside.That son left in search of happiness and enjoyment but later discovered that the longer he stayed away from his father, the more sadness he felt.

3. Life will be full of unfulfilled promises.
He was also met with disappointments and heartbreak at every turn because he had lost the divine connection.


CONNECT BACK TODAY.

In today's generation, the devil no longer works HARD but SMART. he gives life and how views of it different meanings from what was intended by God and make sin seem so normal. let me give you just five instances
  • He has made the ECONOMY so hard and money so important that the value of money is now placed paramount, even above God. people today do anything for money. (na where we dey work we go chop na, na em make dem call em workshop)
  • SICKNESS now distances us from each other (Peace and love of God ke -abi you wan give me ebola?)
  • he introduces and propagates GAY and LESBIANISM as a way of life and its today seen as the real sexual problem, making straight sex outside marriage seem normal. (Guys now say- at least e better pass to sleep with my fellow man "God forbid")
  • SEXUAL INFECTIONS and ABORTION now makes the option of contraceptive better, even in marriages. (no condom, no sex. who know weather you carry AIDS or if you give me belle na you go deny) 
  • the devil has even legalized and improved some system of wrongs making them right. (Na betting na, this one different from gambling)
I think we get the point, we need to re-connect back today.
