Meet 4 young Nigerian entrepreneurs that transformed their lives through the Internet

Image

Today, there are over 48 million Nigerians online – connecting, creating, and accessing opportunities regardless of class, educational background or affiliations.   Four years ago, when Eric Obuh, a.k.a Vocal Slender, was told about videos on him circulating on the internet, he could not have guessed how much impact that exposure would have on his life. Eric, who at the time was making a living from trading off disposed items in Lagos, had just been featured in the BBC documentary “Welcome to Lagos”. What he didn’t know at the time was that the documentary had also been shared on YouTube, and the world was already talking about the Nigerian who gave up his love of music because he didn’t have the means or affiliations needed to break into the music industry.  Fast forw

Image
Dr. Goodluck Jonathan GCFR, BNER, GCON is the current president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He was born on the 20th of November, 1957 in what is today, Bayelsa State to a family of canoe makers. He is regarded as the luckiest politician in Nigeria's history but what we sometimes forget is that, it was not always a bed of roses in his life. As the slogan goes, there was actually a stage in his life when he actually had no shoes. Born to a poor family he struggled through his education as that was for him a means of escape, and his fearless dream to become great gave him the zeal to move on.  In no time, he marked himself apart from his peers, constantly encouraged by his paternal grandmother who had a vision for her grandson. She called him Azikiwe , in the hope that the illustrious name would leave a political imprint of glory on his impressionable mind, and lead him to repeat the exploits of the Great Zik of Africa. The old woman did not hope in vain. He complet

Image
Unemployment is continually on the raise in country across the world, and here in Nigeria people see no hopes of the conditions changing for the better, rather it is believed to only get worst.
