Aunty Joke Silver as she is fondly called is one of shinning example of a true Nigerian mother and a significant model for powerful African women. She is a Nigerian actress and director and has received several awards and nominations for her work as an actress the world over. Born in Lagos on the 29th of September, 1961 into a family of four, she attended Holy Child College in Lagos from where she graduated to studied English at the University of Lagos. She later relocated to England and studied drama at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London. She is today, married to veteran actor Olu Jacobs and they are both blessed with 2 children. She is one Nigerian woman with the habit of making us all, always proud.
