Oludotun Jacobs

Oludotun Jacobs  popularly known as Uncle Olu  was born on the 11th of July, 1942 and heirs from Abeokuta Ogun State, Nigeria. He is a celebrated Nigerian actor and has starred in several British television series and international films. When growing up, his father almost frustrated him out of pursuing his dream for an acting career, he refused to support any ambition that led in that direction including his decision to study Dramatic Arts. 

In 1964 he left Nigeria for the United Kingdom in pursuit of his dreams, he trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England. He then starred in various British television shows and series in the 1970s (e.g. The Goodies, Till Death Us Do Part, Barlow at Large, The Venturers, Angels, 1990, The Tomorrow People, The Professionals). When he came back to Nigeria there was no where for him to fit-in as they were no home-made videos and fees for actors was very low but he never gave up on his dreams, he went on to form his own company to create stage plays. His first movie, produced by AA production was ‘Vigilante’. Today, he has featured in over 130 movies. He is married to another well celebrated Nollywood actress, Aunty Joke Silver, and the two have kids together.
